Henry says coffee, positivity, and music makes for a good day!

Portrait of MyPath Employee, Henry

Henry’s co-workers and management team describe him as dedicated, patient, and resilient.

In 2022 Henry Greger began his career at Homes for Independent Living (HIL), a MyPath Company, as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in long-term behavioral care. Last November marked his one-year anniversary of sharing his passion with his clients and fellow Owners. Henry’s co-workers and management team describe him as dedicated, patient, and resilient. Rain, snow, or shine doesn’t hinder Henry, he is always ready and on time for work. Henry is willing to lend a helping hand to all his co-workers and offers abundant words of wisdom to the clients he supports.

Working in a setting that focus on long-term behavioral care is not always easy for Henry, but no matter what he gives 110% each shift. Henry adapts to each new challenge and handles it with grace. When you first meet Henry, you see a quiet and shy guy. Then the next minute he’s laughing and joking with clients and co-workers. He is the type of person who always has your back when you need it most. Henry is very welcoming, and he can chat with you for hours.

Henry feels he was meant to help change people’s lives one day at a time. Even knowing that there will be challenging days as well as good days, he continues to show up with a smile on his face. Henry strives to improve his skills to assist his clients to be successful. Every day Henry focuses on teaching coping skills, daily living skills, and encouraging his clients to reach for the stars. Nothing is impossible! Not only is Henry teaching his clients, he’s also continually working on his own growth personally and professionally. If you are looking for some guidance, then Henry is the right guy to talk to. He applies his own experiences to help his HIL clients navigate through their struggles. Henry says coffee, positivity, and music makes for a good day!

We look forward to being a part of Henry’s journey and success at HIL!

Working at a MyPath Company

Our employees are why MyPath companies work so well for the people we serve. They’re the reason we’re 100% employee-owned and have nine MyPath companies and 150 locations throughout Wisconsin and Indiana. To help take care of the future of our people, employees who are with us for a year, with over 1000 hours of work, begin to receive company-funded MyPath stock shares. After that first year, continued employment with us means continued growth in the number of company shares you receive.

This culture of ownership goes beyond stock. As an employee owner, you can expect transparency, respect and appreciation. If you are called to help others and be part of something bigger, MyPath can help you explore opportunities throughout its many organizations.
